Summer break was fun, but then came the call for registration, signalling that a new year was about to start. Like many returning students, Leo Ambrogelly (8th grade) came to registration with high expectations. It was very well setup. There were people selling popcorn and it was really organized.” We also have a lot of new leaders coming to our school this year to make sure every second counts at AOMS, like Zoe Goldstein (8th grade),“ Its pretty cool to be like the head of the school,”  and Meghan Royal (8th grade), “It’s great to come back as a 8th grader.”

Everyone gets nervous to see what a new school year will turn out like. But for incoming 6th graders like Brooke Bockman, there are many emotions. “I thought that I was going to be scared, but now I am more excited.”  Reece Johnson (6th Grade) was filled with anticipation. “I feel like middle school is gonna be kind of harder than elementary school.”

Once everyone makes it through the maze of stations, for many, like Talia Bishop (6th grade),  the suspense is finally over. “My favorite part was probably getting my schedule.”  All in all, registration was the first signal for a new adventure is ahead. Students were happy to come back and see their friends again as they move forward along the road to academic success. “It was really fun to see all my friends from last year and 6th grade too,” Zelan Ramirez (8th Grade).
